Guest a_naguib_2000 Posted July 4, 2004 Report Share Posted July 4, 2004 For who knows and understands well pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaseI have a problem in windows xp the internet connection is always connected at 50 or 48 kbps and the internet explorer is very slow in downloading the pages and sometimes the "page connot be displayed" message appears , but when i download a file with a download program it downloads it with the normal speed but after many tries in downloading a page with internet explorer the download program also becomes unable to download,and i when i log on to windows ME the internet is very fast and there is no problemsi wanna know if the problem is with my installed programs or its an adware or virus.. and i have another question :can stopping some services to speed up the start up be the reason for that? Also Delete Cookies...Run Disk DefragGo to start, run, type, msconfig, click startup and remove all the ticks apart from AntiVirus and firewall if you are running them...Then post a hijack this log: http://www.windowsforum.org/forum/index.php?showforum=53Who is your ISP? GaRFIELD Posted July 5, 2004 Report Share Posted July 5, 2004 HILast time i experienced the same thing, was at a customer that had his hole network infected with Blaster, MyDoom worms...So.. my only suggestion is:1. Scan for viruses and remove all found (ofc.)2. Run Ad-Aware and remove all adware ++3.
