AlanHo
Perhaps your spelling checker is kicking in, getting exhausted and disconnecting you as a last resort. The capital 'I' virus is also a possibility.

Andy-2004
although it is Broadband i have a crapp USB modem, which means although i can dial the connection at any time when the PC goes off the modem goes off as well as it dosent have its own power source.(btw, Dialing the connection takes like 4 seconds)
Scarecrow Man
Make sure your USB ports are OK. Is your modem just disconnecting, or loosing power? You may also want to re-install drivers (software) that came with it?
