nellie2
Bring up task manager, ctrl alt del and end the process there, then have a go at deleting the file, alternatively boot into safe mode and try to delete it

nellie2
what is the extension, is it a jpeg or bitmap ?
Damo
If the photo is taking to long to load up in IE Then either just hit the red stop button in your browser or do as Nellie says and hit Ctrl Alt Del to close down explorer!Or just restart if it's that bad! It's not clear what you mean though, photos themselves are not programs? We'll need to know which program your using to load the picture up if you want a specific answer. Scarecrow Man
boot into safe mode (press F8 before windows splash screen) Also, shut down the program which may be using it.. From kazaa it's a photo from a soccer club, I tried to delete it from it's foldertherefore, close KazaaIt's a *.PNG file, I use PS 7 but it has nothing to do with it, it just won't be deleted Also close PS 7Furthermore, viruses can come in the form of pictures. Do a virus scan, here and make sure it's not a virus (comming from kazaa, this is very possible)

Bluecow
I had a photo like that once from kazza. I think I put it in a new folder and moved it like that. I couldn't delete the file in the folder though. I just moved it out the way.
nellie2
run the virus scan in safe mode
andsome
This is obviously yet another lesson not to use Kazza.

Agent Smith
What file system is your hard drive formatted in? If you are using FAT, then I would suggest using an old win98 boot disk, and booting to DOS and deleting it from there. If you are on NTFS, then you will need to obtain a program which will allow you to view NTFS formatted discs. You could boot from a "Live Linux" cd (something like Knoppix) to do this.Mr. M. nellie2
Tristan have a look at this post http://www.windowsforum.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=6901 It might be an idea if you post a hijack log, perhaps we will be able to see what is going on!!
