edbanger
What policies should the Tories pursue to give them any chance of gaining a majority at the next general election?Or do they have no chance of being re-elected with Howard and his present Shadow Cabinet. edbanger
Are you a conservative, edbanger? Are you? With the large amount of disenchantment on this forum with the present government, I was wondering what the Tories are going to offer the electorate that is going to get them re-elected instead of Labour. linc
Well as I read, the O.A.P.'s are the largest number of voters.Labour have said the Winter Fuel Allowance was for the current session of Parliament, have'nt said about the next session, so If I was the Tories, I'd guarantee that for the next five tears.Mind you I'm Biassed and hoping. trackrat
Why bother voting for the tories as labour took most of their policies so there is not that much difference between them now.If they get rid of michael howard who are they going to put in his place?.Unless they come up with some clearly defined policies they will hand it to labour on a plate at the next election. The thing that really pisses me of is being an MP seems to be a license to print money they have allowances for this & that, they vote for there own payrises, they have long holidays and even if you decide not to vote at the next election they will still keep awarding them self loads of perks, and the ordinary working man & woman can do nothing about it.When they lose their seat they get a cushy job in the European parliament which is even more corrupt than the british one.Rant over.
