catgate
As fighting rages in Iraq, Britain's Blair signs Olympic TruceBy BETH DUFF-BROWN, Associated Press WriterAugust 14, 2004ATHENS, Greece (AP) -- British Prime Minister Tony Blair signed the Olympic Truce at the birthplace of the games Saturday, even as his troops in Iraq were breaking with the spirit of the document that calls for a halt in worldwide conflict during the competition. Do you not feel proud that we are represented, on the world stage, by a thoroughgoing, unmitigated, carpet bagging, mealy mouthed prat such as this ? He becomes more insufferable with every day he remains alive. Although I suppose I should say each day that he puts on the act of being alive, because, in view of his actions, he must be dead from the neck up! nellie2
There are a lot of things that we would do differently if we had the gift of foresight. If you look at the economy over the last few years... then you must admit that he must have done something right.I am most likely going to be a victim of this governments changes... I may lose my job.... but, we must remember that we are a democratic country and we did vote this government into power and so ultimatley we can only blame ourselves... or the apathy of the electorate. catgate
If you look at the economy over the last few years... then you must admit that he must have done something right.Oh as far as the economy is concerned he has done something right. He has kept his hands off it and let his "friend" Prudence look after it. Had he tinkered about God knows what sort of a mess we would be in. I also stongly believe that had the New Labour party been as left wing as the old one we would by now be in a hell of a state. As it was they took over a situation that was far from perfect but have not sunk the ship.....yet!

expertec
Only a matter of time and it'll sink. No one remember "prudence" borrowing £100 billion or whatever it was? And how is/was he planning to pay that back?
