Keyboard debris

I'm not advising anyone to do the same but last year I spilt coffee all over my keyboard, it was only a cheap one so I thought I had nothing to lose by trying the following. If it failed I would buy a new one, I did buy a new one anyway, nice Microsoft one and kept the first one for emergency's. Anyhow this is what I did.

I took the keyboard and immersed it in a bowl of warm soapy water, gave it a good scrubbing with a soft brush and rinsed well then placed it upside down in the airing cupboard for two days. Worked and looked just like new. B)

I heard that someone could not depress the space bar, and called in the help desk folk. They found the usuall debris of sandwich leftovers, and so on. They also found the cause of the problem - a nest of maggots feeding on the debris of food. They had got under the keys in such quantity that the keys could not be depressed. :jawdrop:
