Which AV freebie product?

I am not too up to date on what is the most reliable free anti-virus software.

I used to use AVG and was very happy with it, but have recently been covered under someone's extended user licence, but that has now come to an end.

Shall I go back to free AVG or is there a better product?

I've tried both AVG and Avast, and I found AVG to be a bit less intrusive. Avast has some program that tries to keep a "snapshot" of your system and track changes. AVG seemed a bit more stream lined.

Both are certified for virus detection and neither is certified for virus cleaning by ICSA Labs:

ICSA Virus Detection Certified Products

ICSA Virus Cleaning Certified Products

AVG Passed Virus Bulletin's 100% Test for XP, while Avast did not.

A matter of personal preference, I guess.
