don't ask Posted September 14, 2004 Report Share Posted September 14, 2004 I am not too up to date on what is the most reliable free anti-virus software.I used to use AVG and was very happy with it, but have recently been covered under someone's extended user licence, but that has now come to an end.Shall I go back to free AVG or is there a better product? Avast has some program that tries to keep a "snapshot" of your system and track changes. AVG seemed a bit more stream lined. Both are certified for virus detection and neither is certified for virus cleaning by ICSA Labs: ICSA Virus Detection Certified ProductsICSA Virus Cleaning Certified ProductsAVG Passed Virus Bulletin's 100% Test for XP, while Avast did not.
