trackrat Posted September 22, 2004 Report Share Posted September 22, 2004 Which is the best software to make a complete bootable copy of my C drive .I have just put another hard drive in and want to backup my C drive to it so if the inevitable happens i can just boot from the D drive and restore every thing. If you buy the CD, most likely the first thing necessary to do is update from the website.Almost all my software is downloaded now. I save it to a folder in my documents then copy to CD. Only then do I install it. It is a bit of a fag if you're on 56K dial up but, even so, provided you're not on per minute pricing, it's far better.By the way, I fully agree with the comments about Acronis. trackrat Posted September 23, 2004 Author Report Share Posted September 23, 2004 I ordered the disc.When I had the slight accident it took both my drives out, fortunately i had a lot of my data backed up to CD`s.So I decided to buy the disk,as before I always downloaded if there was an option to do so.But it has been a pain trying to get back some of the prograns I lost which I had payed for.
