Guest ellas
norton may pick it up,you would know if you had a trojan if some strange program was accessing the net,do you have a firewall.
mark2
A trojan will show it's presence by trying to connect to the net in the background when you are online.an anti-virus prog may not pick up the presence of a trojan, which is where a firewall comes into play by alerting you to programs trying to connect to the net. one reason i have no faith in the XP firewall is it only covers incoming. :(
andsome
Some trojans are HORSES, ask Troy he remembers it well. (What the beep hell am I on about)?
Tankus
I had a right *beep* one called "fraggle" on my computer a while back....AVG had missed it for 2 weeks until I got an update......every time I rebooted ,it reloaded ,and I could not find the source.......(It allowed people to access my computer from the internet ,while I was on-line.)Ended up doing a system restore ...predating the infection.....bit of a pain....(thank you XP)
Tankus
I always check for virus updates every time I log on now.......not too sure how the fraggle got on .....It did not come from an e mail ( use hotmail...attachments are tested by them with Mcaffe by MS and then by AVG on my comp )
