djohn Posted October 20, 2004 Report Share Posted October 20, 2004 As above, can you also tell us how you connected the new drive please? I assume you have connected it to the same cable as your main drive, if so have you used the middle connector on the flat ribbon cable [iDE Cable] and set the jumper on the rear of the new drive to slave or cable select position? You say your first drive is a SATA drive, Which version of windows do you have installed on it and what type of drive is the new "Second" one. Don't worry though, someone will have the answer for you. :) Can you confirm how many hard drives you have in your PC [You mention a third one] Was the formatted drive from yesterday removed or are you using 3 drives?
