Sparks
Well pwp did you lash out and buy the beast?. I was in the market for a new system but had already ordered mine online from Dell, arriving in about a week.Wifey was in Aldi about 10-30 on the day buying a wireless k/board and mouse for our daughter and she got the last one. There were about ten of the PCs left so I don't think there had been a rush on them. One woman standing next to my wife had a PC in her trolley and wfey said " you know theres no monitor with it don't you?" she hadn't realised and when she priced the monitors she put the PC back on the stack. :DStill good value though. pwp
yes i pulled out all the stops and got there for 9 oclock'it was chockai saw at least twenty people coming away with computers.and didn't think iwoud get one but there was a stack of about twenty and a security guard was giving them out. having said that i can't say i'm overly impressed. having all sorts of problems setting it up. ie digital tele card only picks up terestrial tele. email woudn't set up,had to do a recovery. and every time i turn on the comp it says the virus software is out of date. little disapointments are no drive lights and no keyboard caps and num lock lights and the dvd writer appears to be + only.most of the software is onboard (no discs )on the plus side the help line is at national rate and free call out for on site repairsbut hopefully wont need it :D god help the poor sods that open it up for the first time on christmas day.still that said its still cracking value. bvw
I don't think the DVD writer will be just the + version pwp, the fans on them are a bit noisy as well I gather.Keyboards are 2 a penny these days....well the one I'm using cost £4 and it's got lights :D I'm using an Aldi "special", couple of years old now, never a problem with it.They are certainly value for money :)
pwp
yes as its a wireless keyboard probably saves on batteries.the fan is loud but only kicks in for seconds.my old comp is a medion bought from pc world and they are good value buti just feel the standard has gone down.there is probably more informationon the box than in the manual.hopefully the dvd is + and - can you decipher this.
