Recommended Posts

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'pop3.wight365.net', Server: 'pop3.wight365.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

That's the message I get when I try to send or recieve email. I've turned off AVG and Zonealarm, but still get the same result. These are my pop and smtp settings are they correct? (ISP = my ISP:))

pop3.ISP.net

smtp.ISP.net

There is no "blockage " on the server as I've used eprompter to delete all the rubbish from there I sthere anything else I can do?

Cheers

.............just when I was going to take a hammer to it, it works, why?????

Should be happy I guess.

Ta for the help anyway.

Well, while I'm glad it started working, all I can say is that is what you get for using Outlook... Proprietary software comes with one major issue: only the developers can diagnose bugs. Advise: download Thunderbird and install that. Set it up just like outlook express, and it works the same way as well. With one major difference: you MUST MUST download an attachment before launching it. It will not allow you to launch from the email.
