scuzzman Posted December 25, 2004 Report Share Posted December 25, 2004 Does degaussing it help?This seems like it's probably caused by magnetic fields... if you have speakers close by, move them. djohn Posted December 26, 2004 Report Share Posted December 26, 2004 85 Hz is fine. I don't think that this would cause the problem though. It may be the focus is slightly out of line and if it is, phone for a swap-out of your monitor. Before that, have you tried altering the brightness of the screen by lowering it a little or the contrast even?There are quite a few on-line calibration test you can use to adjust the contrast/brightness and colour temp of the monitor, have you tried one of these to set-up your display?I have a friend who does a lot of graphic intensive work for a living and he has his own photo/electric calibration meter [Quite expensive] and when I first bought my TFT monitor he popped round and set it up for me by taking readings of the reflections from the screen.
