I don't update it much but if people would look at it I would. Its a website for movies I make. So if anybody likes amature movie making check it out. trackrat Posted January 14, 2005 Report Share Posted January 14, 2005 I have looked at youe site expecting to see some trailers for your home productions and all I got is a few photographs which do not seem to gel with the movie title.To make it more interesting why don't you give a description with each picture so at least we can see what is bieng attempted. Zfactor Posted January 14, 2005 Report Share Posted January 14, 2005 To be honest, I did not find the red scribbles to be funny at all, they were more of a chore to read, and I would have given up on the site on the first page if I was not looking it over for a reason. Quite frankly, the fact that the whole page is image based is a major turnoff for 56k users who are spending the time to d/l or view the videos. I checked... one set of text on the page is like, 200+ K, that is a major letdown to 56kers. That page (the info page) should be MAYBE 5k, not over 200K for one small statement.Also, the text is not resizeble, so people who have higher resolutions are going to say "screw it" once they see that the text is way too small on their screens.To be frank, there is nothing to view on this website either... Maybe i missed something, but the are no movies at all... Why would people visit the site? There is nothing to do on it. And, if the project is a popup, then you lose like 90% of readers who use popup blockers. Also, there is too much blank space for it to be aesthetically pleasing. Consider having it in a smaller frame or being a clickable popup (e.g. it wont be blocked) that fits the total size of the website instead of leaving all that space.One final note, it works the other way around, you update frequently AND THEN people visit more, not when more people visit you will update. But because I have crappy geocities webspace, they are small and few. This way you can place small ads on the site in an attempt to generate revenue. Due to Geocities' EULA, this cannot be done on their sites. I doubt I'd get any massive amounts of hits, but I don't want it to be horribly slow. I also saw that www.streamload.com has 10 gig for 10 bucks a month?
