Archiving e-mails

Recommended Posts

Doug you DON'T need any special utilities. I regularly save special e-mails.

Create in Outlook Express a new folder, mine is called things to keep. Open the e-mail, click on File and select move to folder and move it to your new folder. When you are ready to save them permanently, left click on an e-mail in that folder and click on file, save as, and save it into My documents. I have a special folder in my documents for this purpose. From there you can drag them onto a CD or a floppy disc. easy peasy.

Think I've found it. The Outlook express folder is located in my C:\Docs and setting\john\Local settings\Application data etc. So I've just copied that to the CDRW drive. Couls be a bit long winded copying it all back. There must be a simpler way?
