Hi IMTNT

welcome to WF

a face flannel is a small piece of towel about the size of a handkerchief used with

soap and water to wash your face and any other bits you might want to freshen up.

Thank you. :) I have never heard them called that.

We always refer to them as wash cloths.

There's a lot to be learnt on here!!

:D

He bags them up nicely with his stinky socks - I pack him a few Tesco bags to stuff them into!

My wife always uses Waitrose bags (in case we see anybody we know)!

I have a friend who is a manager at Harrods at Heathrow. They, and the Knightsbridge store, have a constant problem of people stealing carrier bags without buying anything. Apparently it's to impress the neighbours/acquaintances by shopping at somewhere like Tesco and then transferring the purchases to the Harrods bags before they get home. Which reminds me of people that steal empty champagne bottles from the bins at posh hotels to put in their own dustbin to impress the refuse collectors.

What is wrong with that sort of person? Personally I don't give a toss about trying to impress anyone.

Boy, oh boy! I live in deepest Surrey and I can tell you that Margot Ledbetter is alive and well and her ilk have multiplied n fold. (Actually, I do live quite near to Penelope Keith and I can assure you she is nothing like her TV character at all.)
