deuces wild
Can I trace the users name and address if I have his IP Address? If so, how does one do it?
andsome
Can I trace the users name and address if I have his IP Address? If so, how does one do it?I would think it possible. I run Norton Firewall, and when I am attacked I can ask for a trace on the attacker. The address is usually shown after the search.

r4may
Can I trace the users name and address if I have his IP Address? If so, how does one do it?Some ISP's do not use Fixed IP addresses for users when they are connected so that you would only be able to get the ISP and not the user. Cpt James T. Kirk
you might possibly get some info using a prg called neotrace. it does a trace of the signal back to its origin. somewhat like nortons trace.
scuzzman
These applications will only trace to the ISP. As for getting someone's name/address, you cannot simply through an IP address.
deuces wild
You are correct. I found the ISP and address of it, but nothing more. But thanks to all of you who responded with suggestions. :D
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
But the ISP of course knows who used a certain IP address at what time. If it were a criminal matter involved, they would be able to tell the police who was at which computer at any given time.
