Redhat
Does the office voice recognition let you control the pc threw commands in general? If not, I'll just shell out for Dragon or something. Will check out the link. Cheers mark!
-pops-
Are you sure you want this?I tried Dragon for speech to text and for control commands to my machine. The novelty wore off extremely quickly and I stopped using it after about a day.It made far too many mistakes in the speech to text and didn't seem able to learn from its mistakes - and I do have quite clear diction. With the commands, it either went to sleep and didn't take any notice or it got the instruction wrong. I wanted this facility originally because I thought that my arthritis would soon be getting to the stage where I was unable to use a keyboard effectively. The fact is, though, that by doing a lot of typing, I keep my joints working better (together with the medication and fish oils, of course). Redhat
Well it was mainly because my Mother has RSI and she uses a speech program at work, along with a mouse and keyboard that resemble the Starship enterprise control panel. Although when asked the program's name... "it just appears, I don't know what it's called" :D Well I might reconsider, but I cannot stand "ergonomic" keyboards and mice that look more like a football stuck in a gutter :P

-pops-
Just remembered, I still have the copy of Dragon Naturally Speaking 5 - which works on XP. Found it at the bottom of the pile. It is genuine, complete with product key.I have no use for it so, if you want it, Redhat, drop me a note and it can be in the post tomorrow.
