ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I just tried to add some information to a post that I entered some 30 minutes ago. There is no EDIT button anymore, even though I am marked as an NP Subscriber.Bug or new policy?
Scarecrow Man
Edit is right underneath the Warn indicator. If it is not there, PM an Admin or Admin Support.
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
It's there for about 30 minutes or so, then only the "..." remains. I'm not in a hurry, so an Admin will eventually see this post.
CurlyWhirly
I have the same thing happening here (not that it's a problem), you are only allowed to edit your post for a certain length of time and then the EDIT button disappears. I think I am right in thinking that as a NP subscriber this gives us the option of editing our posts for a short period of time where as a non-subscriber can't edit his/hers post at all, but I could well be wrong
andsome
I think anyone can edit for a limited time, but only subscribers can delete a post.

Tony
But i still don't understand why there is a time limit at all for editing post, as this is not a default setting in the forums software when setting it up.Tony

CurlyWhirly
I personally think that 30 minutes is plenty of time to edit your posts in and if you really want to edit it after that time, just contact a Mod or Admin and they will probably be able to help.Edited by: Scarecrow Man - Not a problem! :DI have also asked Craig and Nellie about this. I am sure as soon as one of them comes online, they will have a more solid answer.
dadyassa
Edit is right underneath the Warn indicator. If it is not there, PM an Admin or Admin Support.I think i am the only member with a warn indicator, as far as i have noticed ?
Scarecrow Man
All members and subscribers have a Warn Meter.Only Mod, Admin and Admin Support dont.
CurlyWhirly
I think i am the only member with a warn indicator, as far as i have noticed ?You can only see your own warning indicator as far as I know. When I am on the forum I can't see anybody elses warning indicator, so it must be right.

CurlyWhirly
I think the reason for it is a privacy issue as if you could see someone elses warning indicator and they had been warned, than it could bring out bad feelings towards them. Anyway the warnings are only meant for you in an attempt to get you to 'toe the line' so why should anyone else be able to see them? ;)
Scarecrow Man
The warn meter is for moderators. We can set it so we have to approve your posts before they are visible to the public, as well as other functions. For the most part, you wont ever need this, just keep it clean! :P
CurlyWhirly
just keep it clean! :PI will try my best

nellie2
The time limit that subscribers have to edit their posts is supposed to be 60 minutes... somewhat longer than non subscribers have. Can you let me know when you do lose your edit button.... I've sort of re-updated the subscribers group so hopefully it should be working ok now.
