-pops-
I am informed (BBC Ceefax p154) that the Tuesday Windows update consists of 10 patches, some critical. There is a warning from MS that these should be downloaded and that people are becoming complacent about Internet security.
CurlyWhirly
There is a warning from MS that these should be downloaded and that people are becoming complacent about Internet security. Thanks for the reminder. Complacent? If anything I am too security conscious. I take security very seriously and always download critical security updates for my operating system as I was one of the people who was caught out by the MS Blaster worm around 2 years ago  This was my own fault though as I didn't bother to check! CurlyWhirly
Seeing this thread jogged my memory so I went to the Microsoft Update site to check for critical updates but nothing. All I can say is that they can't be that critical
Scarecrow Man
Are you checking http://update.microsoft.com/ or http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com because I just checked out the first, and there are 8 new critical updates. 1pm EST (7 Windows updates, 1 Office update?) -pops-
If these things are critical, as claimed, they should be available on all the Windows/Microsoft update sites, surely.Something weird here :(
