andsome
No,Thanks...I cannot understand your reply. You wanted to arrange the icons to suit yourself, so what is wrong with dragging them to where you want them? I cannot see any other way. Mine may not suit everyone, but it took a couple of minutes only.
Pouria
I wanna sort them automatically but inverse or round of the screen.(autoarrange)I think it is not impossible...maybe changing a registry key.but I don't know.

-pops-
Not wishing to appear rude or discourteous but, on my computers the desktop is only seen for a very short period. The majority of the time I am at a computer a program is being used, ergo, the desktop is not visible. When I start my machines up in the morning, yes, the desktop is there. I open most of the programs I know I will be using (web browsers, Outlook, Word, WinDVD Creator and so on). All but one are minimised to the bottom of the screen ready for use later. With programs I use less often I normally open from Start -> All programs so, again, the desktop doesn't get a look in.I suppose the next time I see the desktop is when I shut down at night - and then it's only for a few seconds. djohn
Hello Pouria and thank you for your question. Many of us like to have a nice looking desktop on show, I certainly do and find it makes my day that much brighter while I'm working away, even on several programs at the same time. :)Yes you can move the Icons around the screen in any position you prefer to have them, left - right - top or bottom. I think you already know this though and want to arrange them in a circular pattern.I don't know of a way to do this with the normal windows wallpaper but I do believe you can download different themes, or windows blinds that will allow you to do this. I'll have a look for you and I'm sure other members of the forum will try to find something that will do what your require. :)This one for instance is from Stardock Stardock themes

djohn
Your welcome Pouria. Can you confirm if it is your present Icons that you want to arrange in a circle on your desktop please? I'm not too sure of your exact requirements from your first post. :)
Pouria
Auto Arrange icons starting from top-right of the screen.
korgg
Somehow and somewhere, window must keep the coordinates somewhere ...In Linux it is quite easy I guess... There every destop icon teoretically can be edited to have some custom position... But your ideea is quite interesting and I'll look for some answers for you ... djohn
While Korgg is looking for you, don't forget that you can turn off the Auto arrange and do this manually. Place each Icon where you want it and it will stay there for as long as you wish. :)

korgg
And I have found kind of a workarround: IconSaverYou put your icons the way you want and click "icon saver" icon... And if they get messed up you have the "Restore icons" button..

I can assure you that no such thing entered my mind, I merely commented that while you were very kindly looking for the solution, my suggestion of manual sorting would be of some assistance to Pouria
