So how long dose it take to chose a subject? or is your star sign Libra?

I wasn't hurrying. I thought that Rebel=UK= would appreciate a rest before organising the next competition.

Perhaps Rebel could let me know when he is ready and I will stir my lazy brain to think of something.

It is a big responsibility, you know!

Thos. :)

Ready now.... :)

Whaaaat ??? you will probable get thown on the ground and shot in the head 7 times trying to photo them in the UK.

Don't you think it worth it for the sake of art.

And anyway there'll be an inquiry!!

Thos

:D :D

I´m all right, it`ll be Spanish police for me, and they have had guns for longer than a week or two ;) ;)

Don't take it too literately. As I understand it, the competition is a picture which best captures the subject.

Perhaps, artist, the next you dash off down the road at 90 mph take your camera with you!

In any event, I look forward to seeing entries from outside the UK.

What does this mean?

Unless the majority are in agreement this thing won't work.........It's not that I am against this subject but there are usually a few suggestions flung around.

Surely it means that if you visit Peru, you can submit a photo of a Peruvian policeman/woman/car. Or if you live in Peru, the same would apply.

I meant it to mean as andsome says above. I was thinking of a Canadian Mountie, for example.

However, it is the last part of the comment above that interests me. Please remember that I have no previous experience of these competitions. All I understood was that I had to choose a new subject. I hadn't realised that precedents say that that I should suggest one and others also would do so. I am more than happy with that and I will cooperate in any way. As artist says, the exercise, being voluntary won't work unless members accept the subject as valid and are prepared to submit their pictures.

I'm not being awkward - honestly. :)

It's just that usually the subject is open to interpretation and I can't see beyond pictures of policemen in uniform

Mind you - I like a man in uniform.............

A woman being awkward------never!

Someone might submit a photo of a farmyard animal, for example, a pig?--- but not you, I am sure!

Thos.

p.s. I was in the Military Police.

All this talk of police, for some indefinable reason, has just madse me think of someting I saw earlier in the week. Management and I had been into Beverley, and, as all women do, management wanted to "Just nip into Tesco". Whilst we were there we decided to ignore the risk of contracting blackgrass fever, bubonic plage, an attack of the nadger or whatever, and have a cup of coffee.

As we waited in the queue for the till, I happened to glance across at the emergency exit. PLastered accross it were the words, "This Door is Alarmed". Well I looked around and, unsurprisingly, could see nothing whatsoever that would frighten or scare a door.

It was not until I got home that I wondered if it was suffering from a funny pane.
