Play music backwards??

Hi, I'm not sure where this topic is meant to go but this seemed to be the closest match.

I recently heard about backtracking music and was wondering if there is any software which actually lets you do this. Preferably with MP3 support.

Please can someone tell me if such software exists

I think most sound manipulating programs will permit reversal of the data.

Input your sound and under the Effects header one of many effects achievable is Reverse.

This was known to some older composer, who even wrote their music backwards, thereby facilitating a paradime (which is a substitute small denomination coin or cleric). I have forgotten the precise name of the most fanous one, but it was something like Mehler or Meaoler.

You could save yourself a journey. We happened to be flicking over channels, the other night, and just happened to get on to one of the "proms" broadcast. There was a person on there playing a caco phone. That broke them all. A man is coming round next week to fix them. :D
