Got back this afternoon. Half the washing now through, lawn mowed - can grass grow that much in 3 weeks? We're both just about flaked out. Wonderful time will report in detail later. However I damaged my right foot running over some rough ground, week before last so had to rest up. Did a short 3 mile on bike this evening, just to try out leg muscles - am avoiding any impact on foot. I may have to do the run by a lot of walking. Got my run number - 51755, I thought they had closed the entry list at 50,000 runners. It's going to be heaving. I've also got the chip - apparently I wear this as a bracelet on one ankle and it is activated as I run over a mat on the starting line and de-activated by a similar one at the finish, and I thought that only ladies of a certain virtue wore ankle bracelets! Off to bed shortly having enjoyed several cups of tea made with English water. Amazing how the old fluid retention goes for a Burton do other people suffer from this? Bed very shortly.

Welcome back Doug :)

Ditto.

I hope you are back in top shape (your foot) shortly.

I can only remember (a few years back) how tough it was to be out of commission when one is an athlete. These days my feelings of guilt are limted to the days I cannot do my daily walking workout (I cannot run because of my kness) on the treadmill. :D
