Craig
You all may have noticed that Neo Planet has had periods where it responds slowly and takes a long time to load pages, and sometimes you get a “cannot find server” error. We think this is because the hosting service we are currently on cannot handle our large database and the traffic using it. So with the help of my fellow admin and moderating volunteer staff, we have decided to bite the bullet and move to a dedicated server. The order was placed late last night, and the server should be setup within the next couple of days, and hopefully we shall be in our new home by the end of the week.Their will be some disruption to Neo Planet, as there may be a short period of time where you cannot reach the site (this is due to DNS updates).Once we have moved, you should see an instant change in the speed and response of the site.I shall keep you updated on the progress of the transfer, and if possible, I shall supply you all with the IP address to reach Neo Planet while the DNS is updating. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.Regards,Craig
Craig
Welcome to the new server.Neo Planet and Neo Alliance are now hosted on the new server, and Neo Digital will follow shortly.I apologise for the inconvenience caused to all members of Neo Planet during the transfer. There were unforeseen problems with regards to DNS propagation which meant the process has taken two days longer than anticipated. During the transfer time, the site has been accessible via IP, however my attempts at sending out an email to members failed due to technical problem on the forum. My thanks goes to those members that have posted the IP link on other forums to allow members to access the site. You should now notice the forum is more responsive, as we are no longer sharing our resources with other people. Here are the server specifications for those interested:AMD Athlon 64 28001GB RAM120GB Hard Disk100Mbps UplinkThe processor itself is only mid range; however it is more than adequate for the forums needs. For the time being you may notice that the IP address is visible in the address bar, this is to allow those who are unable to access the forum via the usual URL to gain access. The IP will be removed once I can confirm everyone has access. For those people who see broken image / links, they will return once the propagation is complete. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. Thanks for your time,Craig

Infact, every single forum that runs Invision suffers from it, and IPS are unsure what causes it.
