ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Hi,Pressing the Shift and Caps Lock buttons at the same time will unlock the Caps Lock status of your keyboard, and you will be able to write normally. As for the power button of your computer, it may be that Windows has not properly shut down, and is in some kind of hybernation status? Can you be a little more specific what kind of computer it is?
andsome
Welcome to NP. Is it possible that the switch is developing a fault, how old is the computer?? Does it start up normally when it does switch on? If it doesn't start first time, how many times do you need to press to make it start? -pops-
The power button on most computers is a momentary contact switch which operates electronics buried in the motherboard. Try holding the button pressed for a slightly longer time when you start up.

trackrat
Any temp between 30-40c is reasonable.
-pops-
Your CPU temp is nice and low. Most of my machines run at about 50 - 55 deg C even higher if working hard.Edited: added "nice and"
T4RIQ
low!! so how do i increase the temp...and could this be the source of the problemthanks
Alan2273
Why do you want to increase the temperature, I wish mine was that low.
scuzzman
A CPU cannot run too cold - low temps are a good thing. That said, this sounds to me (and a few previous posters) like the computers PSU (Power Supply Unit) has bitten the dust and needs replaced.Try spraying the inside with some canned air - you could just have a dirty contact.
