Bulgaria and Romania have been warned that unless they speed up reforms, and get rid of corruption, their entry to the EU may be delayed. EG: If I go out of Romania I have to pay (BRIBE that is) every custom officer that I meet so he can let me go further ... Alltghout I am all right with all papers and money...And there can be many more examples... I'm curious of how do you feel about this particular subject (many from that side of Europe think some, well, not such good and correct things about these countries).. However this does not excuse the EEC when they choose to criticise this corruption, just because EEC corruption may be slightly less than in these two countries. EEC fraud and corruption has been well documented over the years. Just look for instance at the common agricultural policy. There has been widespread fiddling and corruption there, especially in France and Italy. Nepotism and corruption is absolutely rife, and Britain would most certainly be better off out of this club. Belatucadrus Posted October 25, 2005 Report Share Posted October 25, 2005 I used to deal with a chap who's employers shifted production out to eastern europe as it was going to be cheaper, but they hadn't factored bribes and banditry into their cost projections. The real life savings were pretty marginal and not knowing what percentage of your delivery would actually arrive in the UK was giving them headaches. Yes that's how it is !!.. But you are right..The laws in this country change once at two months and a strict financial stability and prediction is impossible ... And this is the legal stuff.. Not talking about complementary payments :D ...My strict personal opinion.. I dont want UE ! .. My father definetly doesn't want it .. It will ruin his buissnes ... My thought is like this: UE must come and ask us to join... Not us asking them ... You cant join UE with an average salary of 150 $ a month ... Really ... But our "great leaders" think that throwing this fact in our face they can cover some of their less legal buissneses...Entrance in UE doesn't give our big boys much joy... Belive me ..
