catgate
For a number of years now I have been rather concerned at the lack of serious success of our athletes in the Olympic games and at last I have discovered the reason why. The reasons for this post is to get members of NP to enlist the assistance of the great British public in correcting the situation. I am sure that many of your friends, aunts, grannies or even yourself, can do a bit of knitting and could spare just a few minutes each day to "do a bit” for the honour of the old country. What we need is a supply of launderable "athletic lower abdominal lumps". If you think back to the last few Olympic games the outstanding and lasting impression is of the enormous size of the "lower abdominal lumps” of most of the successful male athletes. This is of inestimable value, prior to the event, in out-psyching the opposition, and the supply, to our boys, of a supply of undetectable naturalised false lumps, in a range of interchangeable sizes, would, without doubt, bring home the gold.We could apply the same sort of logic to the ladies events and supply starched flat fronted vest. This I am certain would treble our tally of medals. Please try to help.I am not an athlete, not even an athletic support.

Thos
I opened this thread ready for a contrbution to say that athletes etc should help themselves to pursue their sport. Then I saw that it was another of catgate's musings.Thos. :roflmao: :roflmao:
