HELP. HELP ....

I have a problem since I activated most currect updates to AOL AIM system. I am not a AOL user, only their AIM! Each time I log on to my computer, and before I click on the Internet Explorer Icon... I get a drop down box with following message"

INTERNET EXPLORER SCRIPT ERROR

LINE 245

OBJECT NOT FOUND

Also, it displays an aol path address.

Using the GOOGLES SEARCH, I discovered that this is a common problem.. Their recomendation to eliminate the IE error msg as followes:

On the TOOLS BAR open INTERNET OPTIONS, next click on the ADVANCE TAB, then unclick DISABLE SCRIPT DEBUGGING INTERNET EXPLORER and DISPLAY NOTIFICATION ABOUT EVERY ERROR SCRIPT.

I've done this and the problem still exist!!!!

Can you help me?

Thxs,

Tony

scuzzman - my home page is google.

This script error happens before I start Internet Explorer- no home page is displayed at the time of error.

-pops- - Yes, I have also UNticked the box below those you have ticked: "Display a notification about every script error"?

Here's a snapshot of the error!

I am pretty sure that this is a fault with the AOL software that you are using - perhaps alone or a conflict with part of some other software in your machine.

This being so, have you contacted AOL about it?

Do you have to use this AOL AIM? You might be better with a more conventional setup.

Possibly a fault in AOL software. Couldn't hurt to re-install AIM. Completely remove the current version, then download and install the most current version.

http://download.newaol.com/clients/triton_...1.3/AOLDNLD.exe

You can also use a program named GAIM. This program can connect to MSN, AIM, Yahoo, and more.. all with one client.
