catgate Posted December 8, 2005 Report Share Posted December 8, 2005 I'm not sure if this is a Windows problem, a Hardware problem, a Software problem or just finger trouble. Management complained that one of her CDs ( a mind over matter type thing) was being silly and making clicking/stuttering noises, in a couple of places, as "the man" was speaking. But not every time. So I thought I would try to re-record it and see what happened. I was aware that there may well be some sort of "block" on this, but nevertheless I tried. The recorder is a Lite-on LTR-523275S. I got an error message "00000200:75082102". I have spent an hour googling and mooching about the net, trying to find out what this means, with nothing to show for it except sore fingers and a headache. Has anyone any idea what it is, please? I have just been there.Although I have a reasonable ability to wander about Germany without the need for a dictionary, when it comes to technical matters I am quite often left floundering, and this time was no different. So I opted eventually for the "automatic translation"...hilarious. Nevertheless the auto trans. suggested that some sort of driver may need updating. I had a bit of a poke about looking unsuccesfully for drivers, but then realised that I was probably chasing wild geese, since there was nothing definite about the advice anyway, and also which driver might it be. I decided to seek advice on the meaning of the Error code number, and/or the likelyhood of it all turning out to be an "intellectual properety protection" thing.
