You must find the product on the Download.com website, then click 'Add to my Watch List'.And of course there are many applications that they don't have, so you can't watch it.The first program I tried to add was Ccleaner. Their version is still 1.26 - one week after 1.27 was released.Much better and timelier information are available right here at the Windows Forum! ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb Posted February 23, 2006 Author Report Share Posted February 23, 2006 I am happy that Windows and Office have now an (almost) fully automated update system.But I have LOTS of software installed, and I like to operate with the most up-to-date versions. Some softwares (e.g. Spybot Search & Destroy, Ccleaner) have the ability to auto-check when the application starts. This can prevent the program from starting if there are any network problems. Other softwares simply don't have the ability to check for updates, not even manually.Some software companies send you email notification when a new version is available (e.g. Zone Labs). But others you have to regularly check their website (or this forum) to find out that there are updates available. For these application I find this feature useful.
