I mustn't spend it all at once.What did you expect? The annual increases are set to the level of inflation for the previous September. This has been so since the Heath government.I'm not saying it is right or fair but this has been the case every year for a long time now. Thos. I did not expect that with pension increases so low, that comrade Gordon would be wanting to introduce such costly and difficult to run schemes as this hair brained idea for vouchers. After all someone has to pay the £4 billion that Tony has had to find (so far) to help out his friend Dubya. Along with the millions he has wasted on failed computer systems throughout the civil service, not forgetting the millions sent to underdeveloped wallets in the third world. Oh! and the squillions on getting the NHS out of the mess it was in.....into the one it is presently in. In addition to the Euro give-aways, and the asylum seekers, and the costs of his precious think tanks and QUANGOs. Then of course all these PFI and PPP schemes of his will continue to need loads-a-money for the next two generations (the Bart fisaco is said to be a 40 year jobby) so you may well have to wait a while for a decent pension.
