I am just wondering if they will generously transfer all their existing Onetel customers to this new system tariff. Should we open a book on it??? The odds must me well less than evens. I am on NTL at present.You must have a BT line already installed and working to be able to change over.I am currently on blueyonder cable - but also have a BT line to the house which I might be tempted to get working again once the dust kicked up by this announcement settles and all the various ISP's respond to the challenge.You never know - it might well force cable prices down by the end of the year. I did recently contact NTL and tell them that I could get a better phone package than the one I use at present. We pay our line rental plus £25 per month for any number of land line calls at any time of the day. I told them that I could get a similar package for £9.99 per month. The gave me FREE calls for three months, and said to contact them again after this time. I also complained about the £24.99 per month for 2MB BB and they reduced this to £19.99 per month for six months. People who don't download from music sites could never hit the capBut what about when IP TV is launched?I think that is why BT has recently launched it's Max DSL offer to give most people faster connections to make downloading (legal) movies a viable prospect.The other ISP's will not let them collar the broadband market if they can help it.I agree as already AOL are going ahead with LLU and in AOL's case look how much money they can pour into LLU compared with Talk Talk and also Talk Talk realise that they will lose around £50 million in the first year alone by launching this scheme.
