Belatucadrus
CPU temp looks way too high, probably why it's cutting out. Fitting a new fan is pretty easy and the price will vary from a basic £5 to £40 for the more complex silent runners, depending on what processor you've got and how much you want to spend.Open the case and see if the CPU fan is working, if not turn off and don't use the PC again until it's replaced, as a cooked CPU is fairly terminal.Identify the CPU in your machine and I'm sure we can point you to some good options. -pops-
Before you spend any money, open the case and look at the state of the fan and heatsink on the CPU. If it is covered with lots of dirt then that will prevent the CPU being cooled properly. My thread here gives some advice.
jason.b.c
sys temp - 55c/131fcpu temp - 106c/222fsyst fan - 0 RPMcpu fan - 2636RPMthey don't sound right, do they? but def seems too hot. would this cause it?any advice? That CPU temp does sound quite high.! But the thing i wanna know is: Why is the system fan speed read ZERO.! RPM.??My suggestion would be make sure the insides of your computer are clean, then start replacing Fans..Look carefully at your M.O.B.O. , Their should be extra plugs on it for extra fans ( speed control ports ) ;) Hope that helps ya..?
-pops-
Why is the system fan speed read ZERO.! RPM.??Quite often the system fan and/or case fans are not connected through a speed controller or sensor but I agree it should be checked.
