Hornblower
Hi,I have been having some rather serious problems with my computer. Se computer crash topic...Have discovered quite a lot of programs that helps you "clean up your computer".I have just reinstalled windows but am still having problems. Is it possible that a program like PC DOC could fix something that the reinstallation didn´t do? I thought that a reinstallation would clean your computer from all errors...If a cleaning program might help even after a reinstallation. Is PC DOC pro any good or are there other better programs like this out there?
Scarecrow Man
I have never heard of it. I've always managed to fix my problems using either Microsofts Knowledge Base, or this forum.Perhaps it would be a good start to tell us what is wrong. Belatucadrus
When you reinstalled Windows, did you format the disk and start from scratch, or just over write the existing installation ?
Hornblower
I did a format from scratch before installing windows again.
cozofdeath
A format process should erase all software problems. So most likely you have a hardware problem. If you are getting the BSODs, it further means a hardware/driver problem. If your lucky maybe its some bad sectors that the program can fix or not allow the OS to use. Looking up error info will help determine how bad the problem is. How long has this been going on?
andsome
I once tried a FREE scan with PC DOC. It reported a whole load of problems, and then suggested that in order to eliminate them I should buy the program. You should NOT need a clean up after a fresh install. I can only agree with cozofdeath
