Asus TA-210 Midi Tower, (Black with silver front trim)

Asus A85N-E ATX Motherboard,

1GB Kingston PC3200 RAM, (Motherboard takes 4GB Max)

Seagate Barracuda 200GB HDD,

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Socket 939,

Geforce 7600GS PCI-E Graphics Card,

Logitech Classic keyboard (Black),

Logitech optical Wheel-mouse (Black),

Time taken to build from scratch one hour 40 minutes and it's running like a dream. :D

I was out most of yesterday and missed this.

It takes me half of that time to find my way into all the packaging and get the right page in the multilingual Motherboard manual.

Well done.

Next time I want one building I shall head for the borders.

You could probably add another twenty minutes to go through the jumper settings on the board, take out the HDD and set the jumper and the same with the CD/DVD drive. The actual time stated was from taking the side off the case and starting on the power supply etc,.

You guys make it sound so easy I am tempted to have a go - not that I really need a new computer at present. One area of concern is to ensure that any investment is suitable for Vista - perhaps I should wait until Vista is launched and its requirements are better known.

Hopefully I will prove incompetent enough to get more than a couple of hours enjoyment from spending two or three hundred pounds.
