andsome
The forum appears to have stopped sending e-mail links to topics. I have received none today at all. All other e-mails are coming in as usual. Anyone else noticed this? YES, I have checked my settings in My Controls.

andsome
Yes. Me too. I was wondering what was happening.Thos.Thank goodness for that, I thought that my settings had broken. I have sent a PM to DJohn
djohn
Can't see anything wrong in the control panel guys, but will investigate further.. Sorry but it seems my email notification is not working either and only found this when I logged in to the forum a couple of minutes back. Normally I get an email reminder and can attend to a problem even though I'm not on line at the time.PS: andsome as asked for an expert to look at this in his PM: Does that mean you don't want me to have a look andsome? :P
djohn
Checked the email logs and its stating both of you and myself have incorrect email address's! I know its correct for mine and I remember andsome's address which also appears to be correct. Not sure of yours Thos, but I won't change anything at the mo as I think yours will be correct along with ours.

Not quite in my league of course, but pretty good. I have tried to reset my e-mail address and got the message below. So my settings are obviously correct. djohn
Why thank you ansome. Its very comforting to be second best only to you on the planet. I can't see anything obvious and seeing my address is affected as well I expect it to be a forum setting as it throws up an error code along side each name I've checked. I do have the correct email address's to compare side by side with the ones showing as having an error and both check out to be the same. Must be a bug or a switch needs pushing somewhere. Chris will probably know, if not I'll contact Craig to have a look.
catgate
I know I am not really qualified to express an opinion on this, but since lack of expertise has not stopped me on previous matters may I offer this. The CR key, as we all know is the Carriage Return key. I suspect that some careless person has hit it rather too hard and the carriage, at the server end, has gone sideways too far, too quick, and with too much force, and, as a result, has jumbled up some of the letters.Would it be possibel to slacken off the spring slightly so that it does not happen again? djohn
Didn't get the email Nel. Only just logged back in after taking a few hours off for a lie down. After scratching my head for a while I realised I've not reset my winforum account onto my new machine and thats why I didn't get the mail.
