expertec
Meh. WMP11 was crap. It hogged CPU 100% a lot of the time, and wouldn't let me edit the tags on my files. I got rid of it.
andsome
Meh. WMP11 was crap. It hogged CPU 100% a lot of the time, and wouldn't let me edit the tags on my files. I got rid of it.With a radio station playing on WMP 11 the CPU usage was varying between 4 and 7%, and I could happily do other things at the same time. PF usage whatever that is is running at 279MB. If I run the program with the player showing on screen with a realization running, the usage goes up to about 60%. The lower usage figure is with the player minimised on screen. expertec
May have been 4-7% for you, but for me it was 96-100% most of the time. PF = Page File = Virtual Memory
-pops-
I don't have any hogging problems with WMP 11 either. It uses a fair bit of CPU capacity when playing DVDs but most players are like that.
