Hmmmmm.....

You're not really asking on the right forum for this. Windows Forum is UK based and as such, nothing is cheap here - that's why some have given the country the nickname "Rip-off Britain". Often we pay the same figures in pounds Sterling as you do in US Dollars and at the moment the conversion rate is £1 = 1.68$.

The thing to do is buy an OEM version with the new hard drive.

Yea but aren't you talking about pre-installed...??? Or does that mean a new hard drive plus an XP disk along with it...?

There's noway i'll ever settle for preinstalled, Even if/when i buy a new computer i'm going to get a refund on the preinstalled system i didn't use and declined on the user agreements and get my own disk...

Why bother with XP. Vista is just round the corner.

I wouldn't know what to do with that piece of **** of an OS , Besides that, It's not going to be able to run on this computer anyhow...

In fact, I wouldn't even want Vista on a new computer after all the really bad things i've heard about it already..From user's of it..
