Yet anyway.My cousin asked me to be the official photographer for his wedding as he knows how much I adore taking photos, and some of the pics are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mmmbisto/sets...57594297171141/ I took 204 altogether!The bride:My aunt putting confetti down the bride's dress lol!The bride and groom waving from the back of the car if you look closely enough:The bouquet:But the absolute gems of the day were these, and I'll tell you why. No one can ever get a photo of one of cousin's daughter. At first sight of a camera she runs and hides or puts her arm over her face, so my entire family were delighted when I got this one:Then we were playing tag at the reception so I took my shoes off to run around and someone distracted me for 2 seconds and I turn around to see her walking around in my shoes. I just had to get a picture, she said she wanted to take pictures too so I gave her my Sony Cybershot to take some pics with, and as I took this one of her:She got one of me, and it's one of about 2 from the whole day so I love her to pieces lol, and she's only 4! I don't want that to seem patronising so:The big problem is the extreme contrast between the white (or light colour, at least) of the bride's dress and the dark of the groom's suit. Being able to get detail into both of these on the same picture is not at all easy. Regarding the difficulty with the contrast between black and white. This can be largely overcome with the use of flash. I always use flash in brightly lit conditions if there is likely to be a high contrast. The flash will even out the illumination. In particular it makes it easy to shoot an internal shot with a bright window in the background. The illumination will add a lot of light to the subject, and NONE to the window. A good camera will of course adjust the overall exposure to a lot less when the flash is used, so that the window will not flood with light, but the foreground will. I only hope that this is clear. The only time that I don't use flash is with evenly contrasted subjects, or on overcast but reasonably bright days. Remember that whenever there is dark shadow, this area will be illuminated more with the flash than will the already bright part, as the camera will adjust the exposure accordingly.
