Interesting.

I had to attend court the other day (expert witness, not the accused!) and it's such a long time since I've done it, I'd forgotten how to knot my tie. I've always used a Windsor knot but the way to do it had completely gone. I ended up with one of those nasty lop sided affairs so common with ancient politicians.

For court appearances I would strongly recommend a clip-on tie.

When the accused is found guilty (based upon your evidence) and tries to strangle you with it - it will just come off in his hand.
