is the pack reversable ==> is it possible to restore to old lay out, without messing with the registry or weird backups or restore points?

What do you mean by "weird backups"? You should always have a backup of your system, especially if you try to install some unknown software. There is really nothing weird about backups.

I have used and still do use XPize. I find it quite nice to look at, but that's about it. Although TaskSwtichXP is quite nice, but does not require XPize, it is simply a part of it which can be downloaded seperatly.

I do recomend a full backup (even though it can be uninstalled) because you never know what might happen.

None at all. It makes your icons, Windows and almost everything look brand new. Most of the icons are updated, new themes can be installed, etc.

I never had a problem with it, and it uninstalled quite easily as well, restoring everything back to the original.

I also had a peek at FlyAKiteOSX, which is similar, but makes your PC look like a MAC.

I want to add something to this thread , I told a friend of mine about XPize , He downloaded it and installed it and it didn't do a thing to his system so he uninstalled it..

He is running XP Pro Media Center..

So i guess XPize dosen't work in media center like they say it does on there website...

Then he may be in need of a defrag. Or a CHDSK.

Or maybe even, I hate to suggest this, I disk cleanup?

I'm not sure what that would solve though, XPize just plain didn't change anything...

He can't do a CHKDSK because he dosen't have a windows disk , He cleans his drive regularly , and Defrags regularly as well..

????
