In the Printer list, choose the HP Deskjet 990C printer, and then click Next. 6. Choose LPT1 as the port, and then click Next. 7. The printer name should be listed as HP Deskjet 990C Printer. 8. Click No when the "Do you want your Windows based programs to use this printer as your default printer?" message appears. Then click Next. 9. Click No when the "Would you like to print a test page (recommended)" message appears. Then, click Finish.Panarchy: But the printer I have is a USB printer. andsome
Surely this is a case of jumping the gun. I doubt that many vista drivers exist at present. It is not a fully approved system. If you want to use the printer, why not revert back to XP, a system that you know will work with the printer?

rong
Even I know that you do not put a USB printer on LPT1, should I apply for a job, probably wouldn't get it as I know to much.
