andsome Posted December 15, 2006 Report Share Posted December 15, 2006 Seeing this thread reminded me that I have never updated my Acronis 8. I found an update for it on the update page, and installed it. During the installation I was asked if I wanted to create a bootable CD. I already have one which I created when I first installed the program, and have used it several times. My question to anyone who knows is, do I need to create a new CD now that I have updated the program, or will the old one still work. I have NOT updated to version 9, merely updated my old version 8. AlanHo Posted December 15, 2006 Report Share Posted December 15, 2006 Downloading the upgrade at present.I have 4 meg broadband but the download is coming in at only 18.2KB/sec. It predicts a total time of 1 hour 17 minutes.I stopped the download and tried again - but it is equally slow.I guess their server is busy with all us Forum members downloading at the same time.
