expertec
Spent a pleasant few hours last sunday hill climbing in the Peak District... here's a few photos if you want a look... quality's not too great, but hey...Hard to find parking in Castleton on a sunday afternoon:The slopes of Winnat's Pass:Looking back (east) towards Castleton:Love the perspective on this one. Taken while standing on the edge of a sheer drop of about 100ft..."Just to the tree, and then we can rest..." ;)Climbing the slopes of the pass is forbidden...Smoke from the quarry and cement works in Hope drifts across the valley...(Third one is taken from a bit higher up than the others... you can see the chimney at the works)2 of my companions, too lazy/unfit to climb any higher... :lol:Wheee....The little yellow dot in the middle is a cyclist... crazy man! ;)Lovely limestone...What's that coming over the hill...Love this shot... right across the top of the pass... road is in the middle somewhere, a few hundred feet below...Rocky outcrop, on which I stood to take the 3 following pictures... quite a wind out there... :whistle:Hell of a drive up this hill... second gear all the way...On the way down by now... Sheepy sheep... Information poster....VISIT THE DEVIL'S ARSE! :lol:Which was nice. :D
