korgg
So ! I went and saw it . At iMax ! OK ! Superb ! Loved it ! http://www.300themovie.com I am going to go again because I was looking from an odd perspective. My head leaned to the right. Huge screen and me in the first rows. This is new to me. I haven't been so excited since The Independence Day and Matrix I . Well, the first kind of sucked. But I saw it twice.Back to 300. Great movie. Don't know why :)I think they left out the marathon thingie, which I believe it happened then. But they said it's not historical correct. Would've been a nice addition to the movie.Anyone ? I give a 9.5 out of a 10.
dagwoood
It's not out in the UK until next week I'm afraid :( I did read that it was really popular in the iMax cinema's in the States over the weekend(as well as every other type of cinema :) ) There isn't an iMax locally so I'll have to make do with a "normal" cinema when I get to see it. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
The movie link times out, so I have no idea what "300" could be (most movies are shown here some 9 or 10 months later than the rest of the world). Could it be this? Sounds a bit boring...
artist
Looks good! I like a bit of blood and gore! :D
andsome
I haven't heard of it before. I dare say I will in the next few weeks. I'll make my mind up then. :D
andsome
Just received my weekly e mail from the Odeon at Tamworth. It's on there this week. I don't know whether it's my cup of tea really, it looks like a good many others before it.
Irene
Doesn't look like my kind of thing. I think I'll pass on this one. :0 Blood and gore give me bad dreams.... I think my imagination is just too active!
andsome
It looks rather like the old Charlton Heston biblical films. They were fine in their day, but I don't think I really want to see another one. I wasn't over impressed with Gladiator.
korgg
The link shouldn't time out. It's a flash page so it may take a while to load. And check some ad-blocker settings. And if I were you I just wouldn't read any paper review or any kind of review from a "so-called" expert. I've heard those and almost made me sad. But the movie was well above the criticism. You may see trailers on youtube and other sites. Yes there is a lot of blood and gore (whatever that means :D ), but the cinematic experience doesn't get affected from this. Anyway, my girlfriend is a big fun of horror movies so this should be no problem for her :D Irene: I am not sure but I think they made a version of the movie for younger persons (less blood and others). I will look into it.

Thos
First I heard of it was on TV this morning when a character from the film was interviewed. The stupid woman interviewer to pretending to be scared, cowering from make believe characters. Thos.

I didn't like that either. 300 is different. I loved it. Don't ask me why. Everything is just as it is supposed to be. No exaggerations, no bullies. My opinion. Please don't allow age to make you miss this one. Hell, if you don't like it, I'll send you the ticket money back :D What do you say granpa ? (also my nickname in NY)
andsome
Age has nothing at all to do with choice of films. I went a few weeks ago with my three year old granddaughter to see a kids film, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I just feel that I would be bored with yet another biblical epic. I am sure that I saw every one of them in the past. Charlton Heston, Victor Mature and others. I will wait for it to come on TV.
korgg
I was joking about the age. :P
