Folder open issues

i have a problem, which is caused by myself:

i tried to make an extra option on the Open options of a folder:

open an windows explorer window > Tools > Folder Options > Filetypes > Folder [or something like that; its called "Bestandsmap" in Dutch]

> Advanced > New > and i set all the settings

but suddenly windows explorer used that as the default way of opening folders! >> I dont want that, also because the option doesnt work...

How can i remove that option and reset it the way it used to be?

btw i created a new option: "Open with explorer.exe" and set it to be opened with explorer.exe > works fine, though every folder opens in a new window...

please help me asap!

a friend of mine helped me:

i located to the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell folder, deleted the option i created and the Open with Explorer.exe option [after exporting them as a backup]

now everything is just the way it was supposed to be!

thanks for all the replies

A similar thing happened to me, only I made a "Open with explorer.exe" and now everything opens in new windows, and I can't delete the option.

I have never edited the registry, so if someone tell me how to delete these things it would be appreciated..
