I have searched the forum - but in vain.I am using IE7 on a new Vista installation. If I attempt to insert a link in a post on the forum - I get a pop up blocker which says something about a program is asking me to use a scripted window and asks me to allow it etcHow do I modify Windows or IE7 such that I can insert a link in a new post without being so interrupted...?. Allow it to happen, it will only happen on that particular posting.I found it at last - here is how you can prevent this irritating behaviour.It seems that IE7 has done a good job at locking down just about everything when it comes to running scripts. This is good from a security point of view, but will probably annoy many people when it comes to visiting sites where scripts are common place.You should have noticed the yellow "infobar" appear at the top of the webpage in IE at the time you clicked the hyperlink button, it allows you to temporarily allow the option but leads to IE auto-refreshing causing you to lose what you have just typed. A more long term solution is to add this site to your trusted list in IE. This seems to solve the "infobar" problem.Click Tools > Internet Options > SecuritySelect "Trusted Sites"Click "Sites"Uncheck the https option at the bottom of the dialog.Add www.windowsforum.orgClick Close.Exit out of Internet Options, and you are done!
