Coreper Posted April 13, 2007 Report Share Posted April 13, 2007 does anyone seems to have got any troubles with the AVG Anti-Virus update?ive been getting the error a lot lately that it cant connect to the serverive got this error on 3 pc's, with the exact same AVG AV's...please helpif noone else seems to have this error: how can i set AVG to update from a folder ['cause i can access the internet properly and stuff...]?note: i dont get prompted where to update from, when i update.please help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

dagwoood Posted April 13, 2007 Report Share Posted April 13, 2007 Open the AVG control center, double click on Update Manager and towards the bottom un-tick "Do not ask for the update source." Coreper Posted April 14, 2007 Author Report Share Posted April 14, 2007 thanksbut here is something weird: i downloaded the files from the link you [dagwood] gave me, set AVG to update from a folder, but then, when i updated, it said it was up-to-date...whats happening here?:why does it say the server isnt available [cant connect to it] but still be up-to-date...?note: yesterday i tried to update: downloaded a large file, but when it reached 99.9% the connection with the server was lost .....[!]EDIT:when i used the update via a folder on one of the other computers which were out of date, they said they found new updates, and i updated themthat computer has been on to yesterday [almost the whole day [after 12.00 AM]that computer has been turned of at, lets say, 9.00 PM, when my pc was still oncould the fact that ive been using uTorrent [which slows down your internet speed] yesterday play a role?please help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
