Which means that when we do an acronis image backup, not only is the file size enormous, but it ages to do :0 Can we safely move the i386 elsewhere, such as to another partition or an ext hard disc..??Thanks, Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Deleting these files won’t recover much room, and the convenience of having the files there save a lot of time for us techie-types.Do you have the CD?Moving it to another partition is possible, however when installing other s/ware or h/ware windows may throw a fit at not finding the i386 folder where it expects it.My i386 folder is only 465mb, not a great deal of space saved, however acronis may not compress it very well as I think the files are already in a compressed state.
